Oil on canvas board 20" x 24".
Promontory Point (SOLD)
Plein air oil painting captures a breezy, grounded moment from Chicago’s beloved Promontory Point. Painted outdoors on site, the work reflects the shifting light, big lake sky, and quiet presence of limestone rocks and wind-shaped trees along the shoreline. There’s a feeling of pause here like time slows down just enough to notice how the lake meets the city. Loose, textured brushwork brings movement to the sky and water, while holding onto the structure of this familiar, loved place. It’s a piece made for anyone who’s ever sat at the edge of the Point and just taken it all in.
