Born in Dusseldorf, Germany, Cora Freyer currently maintains a studio in Corvallis, OR. A professional artist since 2005, she studied fine arts at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago with a concentration in painting and drawing. While at SAIC she worked extensively with Marion Kryczka, who remains a tremendous influence on her work going forward. Freyer currently teaches oil painting part time as a part of LBCC's community education faculty.


Freyer has exhibited at venues such as the Museum Kunstpalast, Duesseldorf in Germany, the Austin City Hall in Texas and at the Sullivan Galleries in Chicago, IL. Most recently she served as an artist in residence at The Arts Center (Corvallis) as part of their Artist Accelerator Program, and has been collaborating with other regional artists on various community projects while continuing to exhibit nationally and internationally.
