Blue Ivan

Painted in the spirit of Euan Uglow, this work captures a single figure at rest, seated in warm light and deep shadow. The composition is deliberate and balanced, emphasizing the geometry of the body and the weight of stillness. Planes of color and subtle shifts in temperature create form without fuss: just shape, light, and space. The figure is wrapped loosely in a blue cloth, with light carving out the limbs and casting long, precise shadows across the wall. It’s a painting about presence, observation, and the quiet tension of being still.
